BIG CAT pillow

Krawka: BIG cat pillow for my daughter, huge pillow plush to cuddle and to ride on crochet pattern by Krawka

I have made this huge pillow for my daughter – they are now inseparable, she is eating, sleeping and riding on it, she is pulling the cat all over our house which is completely hilarious because the cat is almost as big as she is right now. Making something that big was a challenge, but totally worth it.

Crochet cat pillow when lying down is around 70 cm (27 inches) from the front paws to the end of the tail.

https://www.etsy.com/pl/listing/714819931/crochet-pattern-no-1910-big-cat-pillow?ref=listing_published_alert

I used 55% cotton yarn which measures 175 yards (160 meters) for 100 g, weight Aran / 10 ply (8 wpi), Gauge 18 st is 4 inches (10 cm) and 5,5 mm hook

Christmas CAT tree

Krawka: Christmas CAT tree crochet pattern by Krawka Christmas decoration, gift, present hand made

This Christmas CAT tree was made as a small gift for my cat loving friend, but as I made the first one my boys asked if I could make some more, they wanted to give them as a presents to the kindergarten teachers and best friends. I thought the idea was great, the CAT tree is fairly easy and quick to make, sewing all the pieces together is a bit more time-consuming, but still I wonder how many I can make before Christmas
Finished CAT tree is around 17 cm (6.7 inches) tall.

Grey cat / White cat

Krawka: Grey cat, white kitten, brooch and hairpin free crochet pattern.

Do you remember my post "There is a cat on my head" (I was making a white kitten hairpin, that You can see on a left).  The design of the cat is very very popular among my friends and family, everyone want to have one :) Recently I was making a gray version of the cat with the intention of making a brooch, when it hit me that with making the same elements but sewing them differently I can make two separate versions of the cat.

So today I have for you old pattern, but in a brand new PDF file with two cute versions of the cat:

https://drive.google.com/open?id=0ByK-kmqDjgHqVGZoakhjaWdidDA

Please enjoy the pattern and if you will find another version :) let me know.

Meowth

Krawka: Meowth cat pokemon crochet pattern by Krawka.

Krawka: Meowth cat pokemon crochet pattern by Krawka.

Crochet Meowth, when finished, is 30 cm long (11.8 inches) from the front paws to the end of back paws.

Not that long ago my husband started playing PokemonGO, we were on a vacations traveling by car through a small city, standing in a traffic jam. He took out his phone telling me to catch some pokemons on the way, I didn't know anything about the game (although I know everything about the old versions and love them) and then suddenly the Meowth appeared on the map so I am asking unhurriedly what should I do, he started to shout 'Catch it! Click on it! Now', but.... It was too late, we were already too far :( Since that time my husband can't forgive me that I let him go, so what could a good wife do except make at least a crochet version of the missed opportunity :) FYI the Meowth is quite common pokemon, but my husband didn't catch one to this day...

Baby Tiger Rajah - Etsy pattern

New pattern at my etsy shop:

Rajah the baby tiger was inspired on the tiger character from my favorite Disney movie Aladdin.
When I was little it was the only Disney movie I ve has on VHS and I watched like maybe 100 times - seriously I've watched it every day :) My favorite scene was when Rajah was changed into a little tiger by Jafar. Oh how I wanted to have my own baby tiger... and now I can, and You too.

Tiger when finished is almost 40 cm (15,7 inches) from the front paws to the end of back legs.

Krawka: Aristocats - Marie, Belioz, Toulouse - crochet pattern for all 3 kittens

When I started thinking about making Aristocats I couldn't believe the movie was made in 1970, I think Marie made the biggest carrier of them all and is still present in Disney games and so on. But as I started making her I thought she will be lonely without her two brothers so I made all three :) I hope You will also make 3 of them. The pattern is almost the same for all three cats. Only difference are the bows/neck ribbons and Marie's hair.

Sewing machine/ It's all my husband's fault !

Okey guys so You need a little explanation on Why am I so rarely publishing new posts on my blog. Here comes the explanation: It's all because of my husband!!! 1-st thing he made me two babies which are taking almost all of my time, 2-nd thing he bought me the sewing machine! I have to tell You I am in love in sewing it is so fast compared to crocheting. It doesn't mean I will give up my biggest hobby - crocheting it only mean I have a new one and I decided I will also share it with YOU.

So here is the list of things I have already made:

1. Elephant baby lovey - It's actually Frankenstein's monster elephant baby lovey to be precise and I absolutely love it. I made it for my youngest son to hug and love and watch colorful elements and play with different ribbons - long story short - He is not interested :D:D But it looks great, right?!

Krawka: Frankenstein's monster elephant baby lovey

2. Hello Kitty Pillows - Two white Hello Kitty's were a present for my beloved sister's daughter who is the biggest fan of Hello Kitty's and pink :) The black cat Koko Kitty ?? is the version for my 3 yo son to not leave him empty handed ( He actually thought it's an owl - which is a good assosiation cause owl's are lately drawn with this kind of eyes) But my personal favourite is Stormtrooper Hello Kitty Pillow!

There is a BLACK cat on my head?!

Krawka: Little black cat / demonic kitten - Crochet hair accessory with free pattern

I have to say I am extremly pleased with how he looks like ( a bit demonic) and I am so tempted to make one cat for each color of yarn I have, but who have the time :(. So if anyone of You will make one of those cats from my pattern please send the photos to: krawka.blog@gmail.com.

Maybe we will make a kind of "hair cat" gallery :)

There is a cat on my head?! - hairclip free pattern

Krawka: Little white kitten - Crochet hair accessory with free pattern

Krawka: Little white kitten - Crochet hair accessory with free pattern
Is there a cat on Your head? There isn't?! Oh no... I feel so sorry for You :) I have a good news for You, You can change it right know with my free crochet pattern.

I am in love with the idea of crochet hair clips and accessories so the cat is definitely the first of the series, one I have ready already is a pony so this will probably be my next post.
But back to the kitten - he is cute and little and white, perfect for every little and not so little girl (or a boy).  If I didn't sale You the idea yet I can tell You he looks great on every hair color - I checked, and both on loose hair and as a decoration of a pony tale - as You can see on the photos. Another adventure is that he is ease to make even for a beginner and not that time consuming for the impatient ones.

All You need to make him is a white and black yarn plus a hair clip - You can buy one or use some old and unused ones.

Smelly cat

Finally after soooo much work he is here:

Krawka: Crochet smelly cat, wires inside, eyes and nose made from modeling clay

I am sure everyone remember the wonderful series "Friends". I was a big fan of Phoebe and hers creative musical compositions :) like the one I loved the most: SMELLY CAT:

Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat,

What are they feeding you?
Smelly Cat, Smelly Cat
It's not your fault

...

You may not be a bed of roses

You're not friend to those with noses
I'll miss you before we're done
Or the world will smell as one

...
Krawka: Crochet smelly cat, wires inside, eyes and nose made from modeling clay

So by adding my love to cats and Phoebe and Friends and cats :) came this little fellow. I had a black cat when I was a teenager so naturally I wanted to make a black cat firstly, but change my mind. I knew I wanted to finally try painting or shading my work, so with black color it would be that much harder. Maybe next time... Cause I am sure now the one will not be enough

This time there wont be any direct patterns. Why? Because it was so many tries and corrections and elements and adds that making a pattern from this would be impossible. But I would like to make sort of tutorial how I made my cat to give the idea to those who are a bit experienced in crocheting how to make one for themselves.

You have to know the process is long.

First step for my is to draw the designed toy on paper. The best idea is to already draw it in a desired size, this way after making the part You can fit it to the drawing. When fitting remember the parts will be stuffed a bit so try not to flatten them but imagine how they would look like when stuffed. Also plan how much stuffing and where You want to put. For example my cats lags are stuffed only where the feets and knees are. The rest of leg is empty (except for the wire).

Okay, so we have the main concept and the drawing what to do next? My advice is: HEAD. I always start with head and than measure and fit other parts to it. It may be hard sometimes but I assure You want regret it.
