Raccoon - official mascot of 2020

Krawka: Raccoon crochet pattern

Raccoon should be the official mascot of year 2020 – He washes his hands, always wears a mask also rearrange the letters in ‘RACCOON’ and you get ‘CORONA’ (Well you need to skip the C but who cares).

It was such a hard year for all of us, if you know someone who needs a bit of laughter give him this little funny fellow as a gift.

Crochet raccoon is around 27 cm ( 10.6 inches) without the tail and almost 39 cm (15 inches) when laying down with his tail.

Pinky the Rat is around 50 cm (19 inches) from the nose to the end of his tail. He likes to call himself a rat but to be honest I think his father was an opposom ;) He is such a lovable creature, I hope you will like him too.

Death of Rats

What could be a better addition to your reaper costume than a death of rats sitting on your shoulder? Actually you don't even need a costume to carry him around, can you imagine the look on people faces when you walk with him on your shoulder :) I am sure all the rodents from the neighborhood would be gone in a minute.

Crochet reaper is 16 cm (6.3 inches) height.

I've also made the Death of Fleas, I only let it out of sight for a minute and haven't seen it since :)

R.A.T

Krawka: Handmade crochet grey rat with pink nose. Cartoon rat character

Crochet rat - wired rat I have made some time ago. He is super cute and is now sitting in an honorable place above the tv in my living room.

I made his eyes, nose and teeth from modeling clay, which I have painted later on. This topic actually deserve the separate post which I am planning to make someday. I wonder if You think it's better to make the custom parts or to use the ones available in shops. As You can deduce I am for making them Yourself but the fact is they are not perfect and even after some practice I can't achieve the perfect effect especially for the circular and/or bright elements, which meant every clay element in this project :).

The rat's fur is very realistic. I made and then brushed each gray, furry part of the rat. If You would like to know more about brushing amigurumi see my previous post here:

He is fully wired inside so he is posing perfectly for the photos.

I especially love this next photo from the back. He is much more serious here when You don't see the cartoon eyes.
