Plague doctor

If a few months back someone would have told me I will make this, I wouldn’t believe. But now it’s April 2020, I am home with my 3 small kids and they are asking so many questions about viruses and pandemic and plagues, one time the topic of plague doctors came out and I just knew, in that moment, what my next crochet project will be.

Plague doctor is around 19 cm (7.5 inches) tall. His eyes are a black holes, but still there is some cuteness in him, at least for me. It resembles the Moomin character, I think it’s the modern Groke in times of pandemic 😉

Finished anteater is 23 cm (9 inches) long.
His long tongue can be outside - ready to eat, or hidden. You need to check when your toy will be ready, but my anteater's tongue unrolls automatically when there are ants nearby :) Ok, maybe not really, but I said so to my son. Now he is checking every morning if the ants are near or not :)

 Snufkin, when finished, is 29 cm (11.5 inches) long from the legs to the end of his hat.

 Let me guess after my few last posts You all thought I will not publish free patterns anymore.... You could not be more wrong :) I will still post some of my patterns free. I made those gloves for my second son Leon, here he is:

Can You see how beautiful he looks without this ugly scratch marks on his face :) That is thanks to Moomin and his fiance Snorkmaiden (in Poland she is called "panna Migotka"). Do I even have to say I love moomins it's one of those tales You remember Your entire life. It's so original and lovely and scary and creepy all at the same time. What is there not to love, maybe just The Groke (Buka) brrr....

Materials:

• cream, white, dark yellow, blue, brown and black yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
•  white elastic
• hook 3 mm
