Four-leaf clover for luck. I made this little clovers as a house warming gift for my friend. They are very cute and little and filled with positive thoughts and good energy and the most important: You don't have to water them :)

The whole project was inspired by this movie:
https://youtu.be/xfGAEZ-tiBY
so Thank You Bag-O-Day Crochet for this wonderful movie. Please watch it to see detailed instructions on how to make the upper clovers.

Materials:

  • brown, lighter green, darker green yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
  • cotton wool or some other stuffing (I used green foam for this project, You can see it on the photos)
  • black beads  ( 4 mm would be best)
  • hook 3 mm
  • small flower pot
  • small wire
  • hot glue - to glue the ground to the pot.

Pattern:

Clover head (Make 2)

light green yarn

R1: 6 sc in MR (6)

R2:  inc around (12)

R3: *sc, inc* X6 (18)

R4:  sc 18 (18)

R5: sc 18 (18) FO

Clover  (Make 2)

dark green yarn

R1: 4 sc in MR

R2: * 4 ch, ss(in MR) * X4

You should now have 4 loops.

Make the next stiches in loop, not in chain

R3: ss, sc, hdc 2, dc 3, hdc 2, dc 3, hdc 2, sc, ss

Make row 4 in the next (second) loop

R4: ss, sc, hdc 2, dc 3, hdc 2, dc 3, hdc 2, sc, ss

Make row 5 in 3-rd loop:

R5: ss, sc, hdc 2, dc 3, hdc 2, dc 3, hdc 2, sc, ss

Make row 6 in the last loop:

R6: ss, sc, hdc 2, dc 3, hdc 2, dc 3, hdc 2, sc, ss

Stalk (Make 2 - 1 for each clover, I made one shorter one a bit longer)

dark green yarn

R1: 18 ch for longer one ( 15 ch for shorter one)

R2: sc 17 for longer one ( sc 14 for shorter one)

Take Your wire put it inside You work and make the next row with wire inside

R3: TURN Take 1 loop from R2 and one from R1 and make sc, see the photo for reference. Continue making sc like that to the end of stalk.

The stalk is ready!

Take clover head and sew it to stalk

Stuff Your head.

Sew clover on top of the head.

Take two black beads and make eyes.

Ground ( Make 1)

brown yarn

Size of the ground depends on the flower pot You chose, my ground was 6 cm diameter.

R1: 6 sc in MR (6)

R2: inc around (12)

R3: *sc, inc* X6 (18)

R4: * sc 2, inc * X6 (24)

R5: * sc3, inc * X6 (30)

R6: * sc 4, inc * X6 (36)

R7: * sc 5, inc * X6 (42) FO

If Your ground is larger continue increasing 6, so next row would be:

R8: * sc 6, inc *X6 (48) and so on and so on...

You can put small coins on the bottom of the pot for extra stability and extra luck!

Stuff flower pot.

Take Your two clovers and sew it to the ground, than pu the ground on top of the pot and glue the edges!

Koniec! Which means the end :) Your clover is done!
