Potted plant decoration - Silly Bee

I created this plant decorations to add a bit of color to my plants, which bloom but only occasionally. For the rest of the year when they are just green :) I like to make them more interesting.
Silly Bee is the first one of my "Potted Plant Decoration" series. Please see the pictures below for the sneak peek of other members of this family.

Materials:

• black, blue, yellow  yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
• hook 3 mm
• white sheet of foam (mine is 1 mm thick) for eyes
• 2 black beads ( 4 mm would be best)
• clothes pin - the best would be the smaller version - 3 cm 
• hot glue gun
• cotton or something else You will use as filament

Potted plant decoration - Monarch Butterfly

I don't know how long I have waited to write this post. There was always something else to do and the butterfly, which is pinned to the flower in my bedroom, was looking at me with silent accusation. So ok butterfly! I am writing! Are You happy?!

The monarch butterfly is the last in my series of potted plant decoration. I made my butterfly monarch so he is orange but I would love to see it in a different color. Butterfly's are easy this way that You can make them any color You like that will fit Your room or Your plant or anything else and it's still ok.

Hungry Hungry Plant

!! Important !! Once you will finish do not feed her with blood because I do not guarantee what may happen :)

Hungry Hungry plant is my newest house decoration. She is sitting in her pot on my desk and catches flies (or at least she is trying..), but can be very easily removed from it – she is not attached to the pot in any way. I am extremely proud how she turned out, she is a bit cute and a bit creepy just the way I like it 😉

Cactus plant

 

He is a perfect housewarming gift for those who are killing all the house plants - even cactuses :) He is very cute and friendly - always smiling , you can put him on your desk during the day and cuddle him during the night :)

Crochet cactus is 25 cm (9.8 inches) tall with the flowerpot.

Mushroom

Each mushroom is around 18 cm height.

I've made these two cute mushrooms for my sons and they loved them from the first sight. They are using them as a pillows. I loved this project for so many different reasons: it was very easy with small number of parts (so not too much sewing), the finished toy is relatively big especially for my tiny sons. Also the mushrooms can be made in so many different colors.  I was thinking about brown, blue and green, but finally decided to use yellow. To be honest I am a bit sad I only have two sons and made only two mushrooms, maybe I should make some more kids/mushrooms :) Anyway I would love to see the blue mushroom, so if you are making one in blue please, please send me the photos! :)

Potted plant decoration - Flowerman

Flowerman - As always, he is not the cutest or the prettiest one, but certainly my favorite! He is so weirdly cute that he makes me smile every time I look at him. He reminds me of some old RPG games, where he would be one of the easiest, lame enemies You fight when You are level 1 :)

Man-eating plants in my home

I recently moved and wanted to make something special for my new home and myself, this bouquet is the effect of my work. Each plant in my bouquet is more or less 30 cm long (11.8 inches) I couldn't take proper measures because they bite :) One of them even ate the gnome :)
