My boys ( 8 and 5 ) are in love with that famous block-building video game... You know which one, right? They dreamed about their own minecraft cube plushies, now that they have, they ask for more: cube bees, cube skeletons, cube dogs e.t.c and I am seriously thinking about making more it was very fun and fairly easy to make and the result is great.

Each cube is around 14 x 14 cm (5.5 X 5.5 inches).

Plague doctor

If a few months back someone would have told me I will make this, I wouldn’t believe. But now it’s April 2020, I am home with my 3 small kids and they are asking so many questions about viruses and pandemic and plagues, one time the topic of plague doctors came out and I just knew, in that moment, what my next crochet project will be.

Plague doctor is around 19 cm (7.5 inches) tall. His eyes are a black holes, but still there is some cuteness in him, at least for me. It resembles the Moomin character, I think it’s the modern Groke in times of pandemic 😉

Retro robot game

It was a fun and fast project and the final result is great – My 6 y o son immediately fell in love with it, took it to his room, hide it from his siblings and no one has seen it since :)

Pickett the green beast

I am a huge Harry Potter fan and for several years Fantastic Beasts fan too. I try to pass this love to my two boys (they are 6 and 4) with absolutely no result (no swords? boring…). So I was thrilled to find out that my youngest daughter fell absolutely in love with this little Picket (to this day it’s her favorite plush) I am so glad I made it without any wires. I so hope her love for this creature will result in fascination for the whole series :) :)

Black dragon Toothless

I wanted to make a dragon for such a long time, and is there a better dragon than Toothless – Night Fury and his lovely girlfriend? I saw the screenshots from ‘How to train your dragon 3’ on the internet and simply couldn’t resist making them both. Both dragons black and white are almost the same, they are 43 cm (16.9 inches) long. In this pattern I will make a black dragon, but on the last two pages I will tell how to make a white one and what parts you should add.

Galactic penguin

Nightmare the Halloween Snake

Nightmare is a huge crochet snake. He is almost 120 cm (47 inches) long, but you can very easily make it shorter or loooonger.

Although it wasn't my intention he is now my older sons best friend :) I thought he will be a little too creepy for a little (4 yo) boy, but my son loves him and isn't even a bit afraid. Snow's Wolf sword

Wolf sword, when finished, is 62 cm (24.4 inches) long. It was made from Valerian yarn, that I bought in a faraway land with three dragon eggs and a book that has 'song of ice and fire: part six' written on the cover :)

Death of Rats

What could be a better addition to your reaper costume than a death of rats sitting on your shoulder? Actually you don't even need a costume to carry him around, can you imagine the look on people faces when you walk with him on your shoulder :) I am sure all the rodents from the neighborhood would be gone in a minute.

Crochet reaper is 16 cm (6.3 inches) height.

I've also made the Death of Fleas, I only let it out of sight for a minute and haven't seen it since :)

Winnie the Chew

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you would mash up two best things ever - Star wars and Winnie the Pooh, if you would ask me that question few weeks ago I would say It's impossible, but than I started to wonder... Robin - Han Solo, Winnie the Pooh - Chewbacca and who would be Eeyore... my favorite AT-AT of course. It all led to a 'missing AT-eeyore tail photo session' that you can see above.

Mushroom

Each mushroom is around 18 cm height.

I've made these two cute mushrooms for my sons and they loved them from the first sight. They are using them as a pillows. I loved this project for so many different reasons: it was very easy with small number of parts (so not too much sewing), the finished toy is relatively big especially for my tiny sons. Also the mushrooms can be made in so many different colors.  I was thinking about brown, blue and green, but finally decided to use yellow. To be honest I am a bit sad I only have two sons and made only two mushrooms, maybe I should make some more kids/mushrooms :) Anyway I would love to see the blue mushroom, so if you are making one in blue please, please send me the photos! :)

Alien xenomorph pattern

Crochet alien xenomorph, when finished, is 21 cm tall (8.2 inches).

Alien franchise was one of the movies that made a huge impact on me when I was younger. I love the whole series, always had and always will, and as a huge fan I am so proud to present my newest creation . After making he went straight to my private display and I am not giving him to anyone, anyone! :) I think he is scary with just a hint of cuteness in him which makes him so perfect, at least for me!

Although I am not giving my finished alien to anyone, anyone! I wrote the pattern and hope you will make a good use of it :)

This pattern is for the medium advanced crocheters but if you are ready to try I am always ready to help. You should know basic crochet stitches including chain, slip stitch, single crochet, decrease, increase and how to start with magic ring.

I've put wires in his arms, legs and tail, but if you are doing this as a toy for a child (My little son loves monsters and aliens, but he is afraid of squirrels, true story:) I strongly recommend you to skip wiring, make a safe plush toy instead and sew everything twice as firmly as you would normally do (especially nails and teeth).

I am defienietly having a phase: "make something from something else" :) First I made a baby soother holder from a key leash and today I am making a new look for the old pin. I is a very fast and easy pattern and the result is so funny - I hope You will try it too.

Materials:

Supervillains fingerpuppets - free pattern

Super villains  fingerpuppets pattern is finally here. I am sorry it took that long. I know some of You waited for this pattern, it was extremely hard for me to write it after so much time has past. I couldn't make any sense of my notes so if You will see that something is not right with the pattern please let me know and we will fix it together :)
