My middle boy loves the Superwings animated series. He was asking me to make Jett for a long time. He is 3 now, but he was very specific in his expectations – the plush had to transform from plane into a robot and back, I was thinking a long time how in heck am I going to do that... And the simplest solution came into my mind I made a long chain string near the tail that holds the robot’s legs when he doesn’t need them. My son is in love with his new plush, he is running around shouting ‘Transformation’ and hiding those legs back and forth :).

Finger puppets 2 - SUPERVILLAINS sneak peek
Do You remember these guys?:
When I was making the superheroes finger puppets I had so much fun I promised myself I will make more and what is a better pair for superheroes if not super-villains.
I chose villains from the Batman movies cause there is so many colorful characters to chose from, the ones I made are probably my favorite ones. So there they are:
Cat woman
Poison Ivy
Joker
Penguin

I will make posts about each and every character with pattern to crochet it yourself. When? I hope soon - as soon as my 4 weeks old son will sleep a bit more than half an hour ( he is always hungry :) I hope You will like the supervillains set as much as You loved the heroes. I also hope it's not the end of my finger puppets series of crochet characters, I don't have the theme yet, but I am sure something will came out.
Maybe You have some brilliant idea on set theme? Please write if You do.

It's a bird... It's a plane... NO It's finger-puppet...FREE PATTERN
.... It's actually finger-puppets Justice League pack. Let me introduce Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Batman and Superman, but I really hope this intro was unnecessary cause everything is clear on the first look.
Recently me and my husband finished playing LEGO Batman 3, but I probably shouldn't admit that I am the biggest fan of all the LEGO games especially LEGO Harry Potter ( LOVE You Traveller's Tale never stop developing new LEGO games :) Anyway... what I was..... RIGHT... when we were playing I remembered how much I love superheroes and villains and all their colors and logos and almost everything that comes with them. Immediately I tried to think of the way to make as many superheroes as I can in some kind of set and that.s how Superheroes finger-puppet set came to life.
I had so much fun designing and crocheting them I am already planning the next pack, I am thinking villains now. From all the villains the ones from Batman are probably the most recognizable and colorful too. But that's not the end of possibilities I have soo many ideas for sets of finger-puppets.
I love this photo above it's the cutest of them all :)
Patterns for each and every hero starts here:
Materials:
- beige, black, red, yellow, green, blue, brown yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
- hook 3 mm
- white and yellow sheet of foam (mine is 1 mm thick)
- black beads ( 4 mm would be best)
- hot glue gun
Why do You need foam? I used it for the superhero logos. From the sheet of foam cut the desired shape ( white circle for flash and lantern, yellow oval for Batman so on...) Next I painted the symbols with paints. I used markers first which was a mistake, they didn't wan't to dry, but I used my son's markers easy to wash - maybe they were the problem.
When Your logos are ready and dry glue them with hot glue gun to Your heroes.
If You don't have those items use the materials You can get! Get creative :)

Big Hero 6 - Baymax free pattern

I looooove Disney movies - all of them, probably every single one and now that my son is old enough (1,5y) I have an excuse to watch them from the beginning once more :) YAY!!! I'm trying to avoid to much television so we are not watching every day but I can definitely say that the favorite one for now is "Where is NEMO?" but from what I have heard it's not uncommon.
Anyway it's always so nice to watch something new I especially love the ones with a new concept. Since I have watched the trailer of the new movie BIG HERO 6 I knew immediately I would like the movie very much, but the most importantly that I'm in love with Baymax.
The world premiere of the movie was 7.11.2014, but as always, in Poland the movie will be released 28.11.2014 because of the Polish dubbing they need to record. ( For those who doesn't know we have amazing dubbing for animated movies, sometimes even better than the actual text. SERIOUSLY ).
If You don'tknow the movie yet, watch the trailer:
So I didn't see the whole movie yet but I already made the little Baymax for my desk and I would like to share the pattern with You. As always I hope You will make more cute Baymax's and I would love to see the photos when You finish. You can always send photos to me by email kamilakusztal@gmail.com or share it via google+ or post it on ravelry or do all of the above.

Designing the character:
Back to crochet pattern. First step for me is always designing the character on paper. Below You can see the first project. I always try to make my characters the size I designed on paper, but they are always a bit bigger. Also below You can see the drawing that inspired me. I loved the little red heart on otherwise one colored character. I also wanted to incorporate the lines to my crochet character, so I decided to sew them with thick, grey embroidery floss.

Materials:
When You have the concept of the character ready You have to collect the materials. Below is the list of items I used
- white yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
- hook 4 mm
- black and red sheet of foam (mine is 1 mm thick) for eyes and red heart. If You don't have foam do't worry You can easly use little scrap of material or even embroider with thread. It's really up to You
- hot glue gun - If Yu are using foam like I did
- cotton or something else You will use as filament
- grey embroidery floss
