Who You gonna call?...

... GHOSTBUSTERS!  Free pattern for a Ghostbusters crochet pin. For all the old timers out there :)

I am defienietly having a phase: "make something from something else" :) First I made a baby soother holder from a key leash and today I am making a new look for the old pin. I is a very fast and easy pattern and the result is so funny - I hope You will try it too.

Materials:

• black, white, red yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
• hook 3 mm
• big round pin (Mine is almost exactly 5,5 cm)

 

Pattern:

Base (Make 1)

start with black yarn

R1: 6 sc in MR (6)

R2: inc around (12)

R3: * sc, inc * X6 (18)

R4: * sc 2, inc * X6 (24)

R5: * sc 3, inc * X6 (30)

R6: * sc 4, inc * X6 (36)

 change to red yarn

R7: * sc 5, inc * X6 (42)

R8: BLO (Back loops only) sc 42

Crochet buttons

 

Collection of crochet buttons. Owls, bear, zombie rabbit, pirate rabbit, my neighbor totoro, hedgehog, basically anything that came to my head before I ran out of buttons. It all started when I bought a pack of DIY buttons, they look like this:

I think the fought is to put any material You want on the front side, squeeze with the back side and voila You have Your DIY button ready.  I am not too good at following instructions so I though I would make the crochet buttons instead.... 

My favourite ones are brown bear and brown owl, weird cause I don't like the color :P I use the brown bear not as a button but as a brooch.
