Krawka: Moomin and Snorkmaiden anti scratch gloves for infants FREE PATTERN
Moomins - anti scratch gloves for infants. You can also use them as little hand-puppets later on...

Let me guess after my few last posts You all thought I will not publish free patterns anymore.... You could not be more wrong :) I will still post some of my patterns free. I have to make some of them paid to make money for yarn and also I am hoping to make this little hobby of mine full time job. Will I make it? Stay with me and see :)

I made those gloves for my second son Leon, here he is:

Krawka: Moomin and Snorkmaiden anti scratch gloves for infants FREE PATTERN

Can You see how beautiful he looks without this ugly scratch marks on his face :) That is thanks to Moomin and his fiance Snorkmaiden (in Poland she is called "panna Migotka"). Do I even have to say I love moomins it's one of those tales You remember Your entire life. It's so original and lovely and scary and creepy all at the same time. What is there not to love, maybe just The Groke (Buka) brrr....

There is a cat on my head?! - hairclip free pattern

Krawka: Little white kitten - Crochet hair accessory with free pattern

Krawka: Little white kitten - Crochet hair accessory with free pattern
Is there a cat on Your head? There isn't?! Oh no... I feel so sorry for You :) I have a good news for You, You can change it right know with my free crochet pattern.

I am in love with the idea of crochet hair clips and accessories so the cat is definitely the first of the series, one I have ready already is a pony so this will probably be my next post.
But back to the kitten - he is cute and little and white, perfect for every little and not so little girl (or a boy).  If I didn't sale You the idea yet I can tell You he looks great on every hair color - I checked, and both on loose hair and as a decoration of a pony tale - as You can see on the photos. Another adventure is that he is ease to make even for a beginner and not that time consuming for the impatient ones.

All You need to make him is a white and black yarn plus a hair clip - You can buy one or use some old and unused ones.

10 Extremely creative crochet toys for babies - every pattern is free

Since my son was born ( I probably need to explain he is my first baby) I am spending almost every hour of every day with him. Reading books to him, learning him new things and of course playing with him. There are on this world some amazing toys which both child and adult can play every day (few times a day) without getting bored like block-s ( I can't wait for more complicated ones) and puzzles ( read the previous bracket :) or find and seek books ( did You try some OMG they are great and pretty hard some of them ( I do have this one in polish but I think it's similar to this one. I recommend them to any parent )

What was I..? :) Yes, there are great and creative toys but most of them become boring after one day from buying them. In a perfect world I would buy my son new toys every single day or few every day this way he would be sooo happy (and spoiled) and I would get some quiet time for my hot beverage. Well that's not an option for now.

Second idea which I've got from more experienced parents is hide some toys for a week than pull them out gradually every day. This way the toy is just like new for your baby and You will get 10 to 15 minutes for Your hot beverage. Yay!
(This is actually a good advice consider it )

Last idea is somewhere in between previous two. What could it be? What could it be? Well You probably know my blog theme and You might have read the post title, so I won't keep the suspense any longer..... maybe a bit longer...... You can crochet toys. And if Your kid would get bored or too old for some of them You can rip them and make something else. Plus You get to crochet! Isn't it the most important!

So I decided to share with You my own list of free patterns for creative crochet toys that You have to make to Your baby. I know I will.

1. Baby mobile by Amigurumi Askina

Crochet baby mobile is such a wonderful idea or so many reasons. First is that You can make any toys You want on the ends of the strings. You can adjust it to Your baby room both by color and theme for example on my strings You would see pirate-pandas and pirate-monkeys but You are free to make whatever You like :) Another reason is that You can make a lot of sets and change it once a week. You can actually watch Your baby preferences If he/she likes all the same color or different, same shape or not, He/She prefers red or maybe white...

One option Your mobile won't have compared to bought in shop ones is  the music. But to comfort You, most of the mobile musics are sooo annoying. And If You are still not convinced You can always buy one and make one and have both!

So the pattern is for a mobile with planes and clouds it's actually very cute and simple. Follow the link under the picture to see the pattern.
From what I can get:
X is single crochet
V is increase
A is decrease
I know the pattern is not so easy to read but with the explanations above and enough perseverance I know You will make beautiful baby mobile.

Potted plant decoration - Flowerman

Flowerman - As always, he is not the cutest or the prettiest one, but certainly my favorite! He is so weirdly cute that he makes me smile every time I look at him. He reminds me of some old RPG games, where he would be one of the easiest, lame enemies You fight when You are level 1 :)

Materials:

  • yellow, green, blue or pink yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
  • hook 3 mm
  • white sheet of foam (mine is 1 mm thick) for eyes
  • 2 black beads ( 4 mm would be best)
  • clothes pin - the best would be the smaller version - 3 cm
  • hot glue gun
  • cotton or something else You will use as filament

POlittle - little PO - part 1

For my next project I decided to make another panda ( Yes, I love pandas, zombie pandas, kung-fu pandas and so on....). This one is from KUNG FU PANDA 2 It appears on screen only for a few seconds but It was long enough to steal my heart. Below the screen I'm writing about.

I think It would be the exact same size as my drawing ( half of A4 paper) so It will fit in both hands. I think the most challenging will be to make it a bit aged, that is why I don't want to use white and black yarn but some shades of grey.

Wish my luck, if anyone have any suggestions please hurry up and comment :)  and like always I will write exerything down to make pattern in the next post.

Aplikacje szydełkowe - wodny swiat

aplikacje szydełkowe rybki dla dzieci, ośmiornica, konik morski, kraby, wykonane na szydełku metodą amigurumi, magnesy na lodówkę, kolorowe aplikacje, własnoręczne naszywki . Crocheted amigurumi applications theme is under the sea, fish, crab, octopus, sea horse all very colorfull and handmade

( A series of crochet applications.
In the future, I'm going to make fridge magnets from them. Fish are very light, so even a tiny circular magnet will hold them on place. My son loves to play with magnets, but many commercially available is too small for him, eg. popular plastic letters, which he notoriously puts into his mouth. Hence the idea for a soft, big magnets. I chose the underwater theme due to the color and variety of designs, while the consistency of the entire collection.
In future posts I will explain exactly how I did individual applications. I hope someone will make them too :)

Dino-puppet

Kukiełka na ręke wykonana na szydełku granatowy dinozaur z dużymi zębami, językiem i czarnym gardłem. Hand made puppet crocheted in shepe of dinosaur. Crochet dino, amigurumi hand puppet

Dino-puppet

( Since my son was born I intended to buy him a hand puppet, but in all puppets in shops something did not suit me (I admit that often the price ...). So I decided to make my own puppet and it was a great desicion. Already for the first time when I showed Dino to Alex (son then had a year and three months than) he began to point out the tongue and open jaws just like a dinosaur, which brought a lot of fun for the whole family. Since then dino was on vacation with us and even went on a trip to the dino-park in Leba ... I hope that someone will make another puppet from the pattern below, and the world will gain one more tongue-out-sticking baby.... :)

Potworne buciki - ogólny wzór

Buciki, kapcie dziecięce w kształcie cistaeczkowego potwora, diabła tasmańskiego, pirat - zrobione na szydełku techniką amigurumi. Crochet baby boots in shape of cookie monster, tasmanian devil crochet, pirate inspired amigurumi

( I designed these booties for babies up to 6 months, who can not walk or crawl yet. That kind of colorful and playful booties can help interest  your child with his/her feet, which is why their mouths are directed upwards. The overall size of the finished bootie is 10 cm, so as to fit the different sizes of children's feet, between 0 and 6 months.
For this project I decided I would do creepy-cute monster booties, as You can see in my other posts)

Pirat-panda-zombie maskotka

Maskotka zrobiona na szydełku zielona panda, pirat, zombie trzymająca uroczą papugę. Crocheted maskot, toy green zombie panda who is also a pirate, holding a red cute parrot amigurumi crochet

(Pirate-panda-zombie (or panda-zombie-pirate?) Made for my son who loves pandas and pirates, zombies are the love of mine and my husband, but I think that in the future he will be a fan of them too. Photos show the mascot from the project on paper to finiched toy. As you can see the head has changed in the process. At the beginning I wanted to fill him with rice, but eventually used cotton, so that the panda was not too heavy.)
