Piggy bank

Crochet piggy bank is around 25 cm ( 9.8 inches). It was such a fun and fast project to make with only three colors of yarn. I have enjoyed making it so much and I hope you will too.

Super wings

Krawka: Superwings robot plane crochet pattern by Krawka airplane Jett transformers

My middle boy loves the Superwings animated series. He was asking me to make Jett for a long time. He is 3 now, but he was very specific in his expectations – the plush had to transform from plane into a robot and back, I was thinking a long time how in heck am I going to do that... And the simplest solution came into my mind I made a long chain string near the tail that holds the robot’s legs when he doesn’t need them. My son is in love with his new plush, he is running around shouting ‘Transformation’ and hiding those legs back and forth :).

Krawka: Aristocats - Marie, Belioz, Toulouse - crochet pattern for all 3 kittens

When I started thinking about making Aristocats I couldn't believe the movie was made in 1970, I think Marie made the biggest carrier of them all and is still present in Disney games and so on. But as I started making her I thought she will be lonely without her two brothers so I made all three :) I hope You will also make 3 of them. The pattern is almost the same for all three cats. Only difference are the bows/neck ribbons and Marie's hair.

Chocobo!

Krawka: Chocobo from Final Fantasy - crochet plush, wired inside - fully adjustable.

Krawka: Chocobo from Final Fantasy - crochet plush, wired inside - fully adjustable.

What comes from a combination of fantasy and Easter - the largest known version of chicken - Chocobo :) If there is anyone who doesn't know Chocobos are super cute creatures from Final Fantasy video games. I can even remember them from a versions they were a bunch of yellow pixels, and let me tell You they were already cute!

I just finished him, it took so much time and so much yarn ... (I seriously don't have any yellow yarn in my entire house). I wrote down the pattern but I think it will take me some time to make the complete post with pattern.

But after making these photos I could not wait to share them with you! He is all wired inside, so it is fully adjustable and therefore so photogenic. I am so pleased he can stand an sit and look great in almost every position. I think he will be the biggest decoration of our Easter table and when I say biggest I mean it :) He came up quite large but we will find the place, who cares about food, right?.

What do you think?

It's a bird... It's a plane... NO It's finger-puppet...FREE PATTERN

Krawka: Cute set of crochet finger puppets with FREE patterns. Justice League : Superman, Batman, Flash, Wonder woman and Green lantern

.... It's actually finger-puppets Justice League pack. Let me introduce Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Batman and Superman, but I really hope this intro was unnecessary cause everything is clear on the first look.

Recently me and my husband finished playing LEGO Batman 3, but I probably shouldn't admit that I am the biggest fan of all the LEGO games especially LEGO Harry Potter ( LOVE You Traveller's Tale never stop developing new LEGO games :) Anyway... what I was..... RIGHT... when we were playing I remembered how much I love superheroes and villains and all their colors and logos and almost everything that comes with them. Immediately I tried to think of the way to make as many superheroes as I can in some kind of set and that.s how Superheroes finger-puppet set came to life.

I had so much fun designing and crocheting them I am already planning the next pack, I am thinking villains now. From all the villains the ones from Batman are probably the most recognizable and colorful too. But that's not the end of possibilities I have soo many ideas for sets of finger-puppets.

I love this photo above it's the cutest of them all :)

Patterns for each and every hero starts here:

Materials:

  • beige, black, red, yellow, green, blue, brown yarn ( I use the yarn which gauge is 24.0 to 30.0 sts = 4 inches )
  • hook 3 mm
  • white and yellow sheet of foam (mine is 1 mm thick)
  • black beads ( 4 mm would be best)
  • hot glue gun

Why do You need foam? I used it for the superhero logos. From the sheet of foam cut the desired shape ( white circle for flash and lantern, yellow oval for Batman so on...) Next I painted the symbols with paints. I used markers first which was a mistake, they didn't wan't to dry, but I used my son's markers easy to wash - maybe they were the problem.
When Your logos are ready and dry glue them with hot glue gun to Your heroes.

If You don't have those items use the materials You can get! Get creative :)

10 Extremely creative crochet toys for babies - every pattern is free

Since my son was born ( I probably need to explain he is my first baby) I am spending almost every hour of every day with him. Reading books to him, learning him new things and of course playing with him. There are on this world some amazing toys which both child and adult can play every day (few times a day) without getting bored like block-s ( I can't wait for more complicated ones) and puzzles ( read the previous bracket :) or find and seek books ( did You try some OMG they are great and pretty hard some of them ( I do have this one in polish but I think it's similar to this one. I recommend them to any parent )

What was I..? :) Yes, there are great and creative toys but most of them become boring after one day from buying them. In a perfect world I would buy my son new toys every single day or few every day this way he would be sooo happy (and spoiled) and I would get some quiet time for my hot beverage. Well that's not an option for now.

Second idea which I've got from more experienced parents is hide some toys for a week than pull them out gradually every day. This way the toy is just like new for your baby and You will get 10 to 15 minutes for Your hot beverage. Yay!
(This is actually a good advice consider it )

Last idea is somewhere in between previous two. What could it be? What could it be? Well You probably know my blog theme and You might have read the post title, so I won't keep the suspense any longer..... maybe a bit longer...... You can crochet toys. And if Your kid would get bored or too old for some of them You can rip them and make something else. Plus You get to crochet! Isn't it the most important!

So I decided to share with You my own list of free patterns for creative crochet toys that You have to make to Your baby. I know I will.

1. Baby mobile by Amigurumi Askina

Crochet baby mobile is such a wonderful idea or so many reasons. First is that You can make any toys You want on the ends of the strings. You can adjust it to Your baby room both by color and theme for example on my strings You would see pirate-pandas and pirate-monkeys but You are free to make whatever You like :) Another reason is that You can make a lot of sets and change it once a week. You can actually watch Your baby preferences If he/she likes all the same color or different, same shape or not, He/She prefers red or maybe white...

One option Your mobile won't have compared to bought in shop ones is  the music. But to comfort You, most of the mobile musics are sooo annoying. And If You are still not convinced You can always buy one and make one and have both!

So the pattern is for a mobile with planes and clouds it's actually very cute and simple. Follow the link under the picture to see the pattern.
From what I can get:
X is single crochet
V is increase
A is decrease
I know the pattern is not so easy to read but with the explanations above and enough perseverance I know You will make beautiful baby mobile.
