Cheshire Cat - Baby Booties + Pattern

Materials:

beige, pink, violet( or should I write purple?), white, yellow yarn
black material for eyes and brows
hook 3 mm

Bootie pattern:

R1-R17 follow the basic pattern with violet yarn:

Do not finish of after row 17 of the pattern,  change yarn from violet to pink, start 4 stitches before the place where You left violet yarn. Make the next row weaving the violet chain eye into the work.

change yarn to pink

change yarn to pink

R26: sc 3, dec, sc 12, dec, sc 3 (20)

change yarn to violet

R28: sc  3, dec, sc 8, dec, sc 3 (16)

change yarn to pink

R33: crochet the first and last stitch together, than 2-nd with 6-th, than 3-rd with 5-th  FO

change to pink

R34: Last step is sc around the edge of bootie. FO

Ears - make 2

violet yarn

R1: sc 4 in MR (4)

R2: TURN ( do not make circle when you will turn you will be making half circle) inc, dc, dc in same ch as previous dc, 1 ch, ss in red dc ( in uppert part ), ss in red dc ( in lower part ), ss, inc FO

You should have nice and pointy ear. You can also shape it more pointly with thread.





Eye - make 2

yellow yarn

R1: 6 sc in MR (6)

R2: 3 sc in 1, inc, 3 sc in 1, inc, ss FO

From black material cut the black part of eye and then sew it o the eye, You can cut a little yellow dot from material or sew it with yellow thread.

Also from black material make eyebrows.


Nose 

pink yarn

R1: 6 sc in MR (6)

R2: sc, 3 sc in 1, inc, sc, 3 sc in 1, inc (12)


Mouth

beige yarn

R1: 17 ch (17)

R2: sc 16 starting from 2-nd ch

R3: dec ( with 2-nd and 3-rd ch from hook), sc 2, dec 3, sc 2, dec FO


Teeth 

white yarn

R1: 17 ch (17)

R2: sc 16 starting from 2-nd ch (16)

R3: ss 16 (16) FO

With black yarn make gaps between teeth just like shown in the picture. Also I think it's a good idea to sew the line between mouth and teeth to distinguish them cause they are similar color.




Arms - make 2 

pink yarn

R1: 8 ch (8)

R2:  sc 7 starting from the second chain from the hook (7)

R3:  turn and sc 7 on the other side of the chain from R1,(7) FO







Hands - make 2 

beige yarn

R1: 4 ch (4)

R2: starting from the second ch from the hook make sc 3 (3)

R3: 4 ch (4)

R4: sc 3 (3)

R5: 4 ch (4)

R6: sc 3 (3)

 after this steps you should have 3 fingers

R7: turn and sc 4, ss  (5) FO - I make one sc on top of the first finger from the hook, sc 2 in the second finger, sc and ss in the third one.

When You sew hands don't forget to make nails with black yarn.
